AMATORE
This version of Amatore is crafted from wines of both the 2006 and 2007 vintages. Its varietal composition shows less Gamay than the 2004, with the Italian Corvina and Rondinella making up about two-thirds of the blend.

AMATORE Wine Information
Varietal Composition: About equal parts of Gamay Noir and a co-fermented combination of the Italian Corvina and Rondinella. The result is a combination in the style of Beaujolais, using the true Gamay Noir and grapes from the the complex of varieties found in the Italian blended wines most like Beaujolais—Valpolicella and Bardolino.
What it resembles: Cru Beaujolais (the wine from individual communes or estates, as opposed the much less complex village wines); single-vineyard Valpolicella from well-known producers like Allegrini. Light to medium body; bright fruit, yet with enough tannic structure for the long haul.
